Why Join the BIIA?

When you join BIIA, you’re helping to keep Balboa Island beautiful, vibrant, and connected. Every membership dollar directly supports the many projects and events that make our community so special.

Here’s what we do—together:

• City Partnership: We work closely with the City of Newport Beach to represent the interests and priorities of Island residents and businesses.
• Beautification & Landscaping: We fund and maintain the landscaping at the Island Marquee and the corner of Bayside Drive and Marine Avenue.
• Keeping You Informed: Through the Bridge Newsletter, Island Meetings, Constant Contact emails, and the Marquee, BIIA keeps everyone up to date on community news and events.
• Community Traditions: Your membership makes possible our Annual Parade, Classical Concerts, The Home Tour, Pancake Breakfast, Holiday Decorations, Tree Lighting, Santa & Snow Day.

All of this is funded entirely through membership dues.

Since 1916, the B.I.I.A. has enhanced the Balboa Island experience for residents and visitors alike. We are a non-profit volunteer, association, your membership dollars go towards the planning and execution of the items listed below.

By becoming a BIIA member, you are joining a community of dedicated residents who are passionate about preserving and enhancing the island’s way of life. Whether you’re interested in shaping future initiatives, participating in island events, or simply staying informed, your membership plays a crucial role in keeping Balboa Island the special place we all love.

As a member, your name will be listed in The Island Bridge Newsletter. Join at the Sapphire, Ruby or Diamond level and you will be entitled to receive a printed Balboa Island banner type flag.
